BABY REINDEER ( Netflix) England- A black comedy thriller based on real events. Donny is a struggling comedian/ bartender. One night in the bar he offers a free cup of tea to a large, lonely woman. And it’s true.

MAESTRO IN BLUE-(Netflix) Greece- This romance mystery is set on Paxos, a picture-perfect Greek island staging a classical music festival. Arranging this event is a wealthy family consisting of attractive parents and even more attractive young adult son and daughter. Into the deceptively bucolic scene arrives a 40-something conductor to oversee the festival. His arrival sparks just one of many illicit love affairs heating up the island. There’s something for everyone. Adultery, May/December romances, a couple of teenage boys coping with their homosexuality, drug smuggling. And a mysterious dead body. If that doesn’t appeal to you, stick around for the music and scenery. You won’t be disappointed.

UNDER THE BRIDGE (Hulu)- Canada This mystery is based on the 1997 murder of an East Indian teenage girl in a Vancouver suburb. Investigating the murder is a dedicated indigenous police officer. Her efforts aren’t helped by her former best friend who returns to her hometown to unearth material for a book. Key to the investigation is the troubled, often malevolent gang of teen girls whose circle the murdered girl wanted to join. While the murderer is found it’s up to the audience to decide whether justice was actually achieved.
