A sprawling building in the lush mountains houses a psychiatric hospital which is home to a variety of patients hoping to find a way back to sanity. But sometimes equally in need of healing are the doctors and nurses whose private lives are often as chaotic as those of their patients.
In Paris, a successful, gay Polish tailer whose drag queen persona also has a large following, is readying to retire to the South of France. Then a letter arrives from a daughter he never existed back in Poland. She needs a kidney. And she needs him to immediately come to Poland, a place to which he swore he’d never return. The decision he makes changes not only his life but unexpectedly alters the lives of a whole town.
Driving along a desolate stretch of Australian highway, a man is driven off the road by an enormous truck. When he wakes up in a hospital he has no memory of the accident. Or of who he is. The only thing that becomes clear is that someone is out to kill him. The answer to “Who” and “why” will not only threaten his life but the lives of almost anyone he encounters as he tries to puzzle out the mystery.
