NORMAL PEOPLE: ( Ireland, Hulu ) This Irish series looks at the friendship/romance between two young people from very different backgrounds. Each learns and grows from the bond that develops between them as they transition from high school to university and ultimately out into the adult world.
In the buddy comedy, ALPHA MALES, Spain, Netlix) four friends in their 30s/40s must navigate not only the realities of how their careers are affected by changing times but more importantly how they must navigate relationships with the women they love who have their own ideas of how their lovers/ex-lovers/boyfriends will fit into their lives.
LANDSCAPERS (England, Hulu) recounts the true story of a seemingly normal English couple, Susan and Christopher Edwards, who turn themselves into police after 15 years of hiding. Why? Susan killed her mother after seeing her mother kill her father. And Susan’s husband buried the parents in the back yard. And the Edwards have been living on the substantial money they inherited after the parents’ death. But, in their minds, as they will tell police, there was a very decent reason behind the whole “ unfortunate” incident.
